How much does a marriage licence cost? $60 and $10 for official copies

Where do I apply for a licence and what all do we need? You can apply online with the Buncombe County register of deeds, then when you are in Asheville you can drive by there with valid IDs and Social Security cards.  

How long is the licence valid? 60 days from the time of application.

What do we do after the ceremony? Bring your licence to the ceremony and the officiant and witnesses will sign. Then the officiant will file it within a day or two. Sending a photo of her turning it in! 

I was married previously? Show a copy of divorce documents or death certificate to register of deeds.

Can we bring our children? Yes, absolutely! 

So we need witnesses? No, we can provide. But just chat about it with us prior.
